The base of Curling table is carved from a single block ofCarrara or black Marquinia marble, resulting in the simplest
and purest of forms. A metal cylinder sits on top of the
marble base to support the table top, in ultra-clear
transparent glass, creating a truly sleek overall effect.
Ultimately, Curling is defined by its instinctive, immediate
design, its bold character and its imposing scenic
presence.“As Michelangelo once said, the sculpture is
already inside the marble - all you need to do is remove the
superfluous,” says Lipparini, explaining the concept behind
this table for Bonaldo. “The idea for Curling came from
visits to the Carrara marble quarries. I was inspired by these
white, cubic blocks of marble.”

The base of the Art table is its most distinguishing feature: itis made up of a metal trapezium that runs diagonally under
the table top, allowing minimum obstruction and optimising
the space. The base can also be personalised with inserts in
the same finish as the top in order to ensure further
consistency. Overall, the load-bearing structure designed in

and sculptural impact. The top is firmly supported but the

The structural and formal lightness is derived from two
design factors: strict geometric shapes and the choice of
the painted metal base, which slims down the unit through
a principle of volume subtraction. The To Be night storage
units feature a matt lacquered wooden structure, available
in three different colours (white, anthracite grey and dove
grey), making it possible to satisfy a variety of tastes as well
as facilitate interesting combinations with the shades of the
painted metal base. The metal handles with a matching
finish are a continuous feature shared throughout the entire
collection. Besides the multiple customisation options,
there is also the possibility to have a plinth base version,
available in numerous metallic colours which can be mixed
or matched with the lacquered wood structure. With great
attention to detail in each design, any combination can

formal linearity. Stylistic essentiality and sophisticated

The distinguishing feature of the Artika chair, which isclearly evident from the front, is its backrest that
constitutes a single whole with the seat and opens out at
the top, giving the observer the idea of expansion and
breadth. Artika is modelled with dynamic and comfortable

proportions and structural solutions of strong impact. The
seat is covered in leather, eco-leather or fabric, materials
chosen to last a long time and to ensure maximum

si); for both solutions it is possible to choose from the many

The concept behind the Lake family of mirrors is theoverlapping of different layers that visually create an object
with a strong decorative component. The first band, the
one that takes up the most space, is composed of the
mirror; laid over it is a central band of metal (painted bronze
or painted lead), while the lower band is of glass, in the
same finish as the metal. The Lake collection consists of

Industrial designer Gino Carollo started work as an international designer in 1990, designed many award-winning items of furniture and created the Italy pavilion for the Italian furniture sector at the Cologne international furniture exhibition. He opened his own “Studio 28” agency at the end of the millennium, focusing on both urniture design as well as exhibition space and showroom design.
